Melissa reached out to us to help transform her into a Boudoir Beauty for her upcoming Boudoir Photoshoot with Nichole from Celebrate Your Sexy.

This was her first time to do any sort of photoshoot, let alone a boudoir-style one so we were super excited to help her out!

Natalia did a fantastic job on the makeup and Jess did a great job on styling.

Stay tuned for the professional photos! In the meantime, here’s a behind the scenes:

There's nothing like putting on a fresh face, to only see it sitting on the surface.  Makeup is what I'm talking about, and the powder that sits above.

It's summer now, and the only thing I feel like putting on my face is a light powder to even out my skin a little...but don’t you hate it when you can see the little bit of makeup being worn on the skin?, and sometimes waiting for it to “sink in" just doesn’t suffice .

My resolution, a face “Fix”.  These sprays not only serve as a makeup finisher, but also quench your skins thirst.  A light spray over your face will take a powdery face, and give it that finishing look that also smells great!.  As well, these mists are packed with minerals, tea, anti-oxidants and all the things our skin needs to make us feel fresh….Not to mention a sexy dew look.

Check out my top to choices, made by local company Sugarcane Skincare, and MAC Cosmetics.  Both products range from $18.00-$25.00

I have to rave about my new favorite mascara.  Maybelline Unstoppable mascara.  I’m not sure about you, but like me (and it happens to many) that our lashes have thinned out a little through our makeup wearing years.

I have tried many brands and types of mascara, only to find smudging, flaking, and the impossible-to-remove waterproofs.  Unstoppable is my new resolution that was recently shown to me.  It has individual fibers that look like stray lashes that latch onto your own, resulting in length and volume. Brilliant! Eyelash extensions in a tube!  In addition, it has a partial waterproof characteristic; it does not budge until you wash with soap and water, or makeup remover.  For a non-waterproof product, it’s great that it doesn’t smudge or flake leaving me with the all-famous raccoon eyes.

Unfortunately this is now a discontinued item, but you’re still able to order it online at places like Buy Me Beauty  ($6.99) or the next best thing with the same concept  Fibre Rich Lash mascara by MAC ($15).

Enjoy the summer looking great, without sacrificing those lashes!

The summer weather is almost here, and as much as we love the sun and the heat, it’s not the best situation for our skin, for us powder and foundation users.   This is the time where we need to let our skin breathe, and be free from the congestion.

The question is:
How do we do that without sacrificing the freshness and coverage?

My favorite recommendation istinted moisturizer
This product will be your best friend.

It’s a 3 in 1 product.  You don’t have to be a makeup artist to be able to apply this, because it’s essentially, a moisturizer, so apply like you usually would a moisturizer.

Most tinted moisturizers have an SPF, so your beautiful skin will stay protected from the UV rays.  You won’t feel a heavy layer on your skin, and you’ll have light coverage to make sure you will always look fab!

A couple recommendations:

MAC Studio Moisturizer SPF 15 ($38)
SMASHBOX Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer ($30)
SEPHORA Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 ($18 - on sale for $9)

MAC Cosmetics has stepped up to another level with the final confirmation that they will be collaborating with the, who better, Walt Disney, to present and launch this coming September 2010, Venomous Villains!

There are no photos released, but I can only imagine the line to be full of nothing less than those rich, vibrant colors we’re so used to seeing our favorite Disney villains flaunting. Perfect time to pick up in preparation for our Fall season!

Check out the video teaser, and take your guess on which top four villains will be the ones represented!
